Damp, Mould and Condensation

Ensuring everyone’s safety and comfort is our top priority

Damp and mould are common issues caused by excess moisture, such as leaking pipes, rainwater, or high humidity. Damp occurs when water seeps into walls, ceilings, or floors, creating an environment where mould can grow. Mould appears as black, green, or white spots and can lead to unpleasant odors, surface damage, and health issues if not addressed. Ensuring everyone’s safety and comfort is our top priority, which is why we make it a point to keep your living space dry and free from these hazards.

How you can help manage damp, mould or condensation

Good ventilation:

Always leave a small gap between furniture and the wall to allow for air circulation, and avoid overfilling wardrobes and cupboards.

Try running the cold tap before the hot to help minimize moisture.

Reduce moisture:

Always cover pans with a lid while cooking to help reduce steam and condensation in your kitchen.

Avoid drying clothes on radiators, as this can reduce their effectiveness and make your room colder.
